The Trimble X12 3DLaser  is a high-performance terrestrial laser scanning system designed for rapid, accurate capture of detailed 3D data in surveying, construction, engineering, and reality-capture applications. Developed by Trimble Inc., the X12 combines advanced laser scanning technology, high-resolution imaging, and intuitive field software to deliver precise point cloud data and photorealistic models of real-world environments.

The scanner captures dense 3D point clouds at speeds of up to 2.187 million points per second, allowing users to quickly document buildings, infrastructure, industrial facilities, and construction sites with exceptional detail. It offers a working scan range from 0.3 m to 250 m, with an ambiguity interval of up to 365 m, making it suitable for both indoor and large-scale outdoor scanning projects.

Designed for efficiency in the field, the Trimble X12 can complete full-dome scans in as little as 23 seconds, enabling surveyors and engineers to capture large areas rapidly while maintaining high accuracy and minimal noise in the collected data.

The system integrates high-quality HDR imaging with an 80-megapixel panoramic camera that produces parallax-free images for realistic colorized point clouds. Built-in LED spotlights allow scanning in dark environments such as tunnels, industrial plants, and indoor construction sites.

For streamlined workflows, the scanner works with Trimble Perspective field software, enabling automatic scan registration, real-time visualization, and data validation directly on a touchscreen interface or connected tablet. This ensures that scans are accurate and complete before leaving the job site.
