Olympus IPLEX  RT is a high-performance industrial videoscope designed for remote visual inspection of hard-to-reach areas inside machinery, pipelines, engines, and industrial equipment. Built for demanding inspection environments, this portable borescope provides high-resolution imaging, flexible probe control, and durable construction to support accurate defect detection and preventive maintenance.

The system uses a high-quality image sensor combined with Olympus’ PulsarPic image processing technology, producing sharp, low-noise images that allow inspectors to clearly identify small cracks, corrosion, or structural defects. The device features a 6.5-inch anti-reflective LCD monitor, ensuring clear viewing even in bright outdoor conditions.

The IV9420RT model includes a 4.0 mm diameter insertion tube with a 2.0 m working length, allowing the probe to navigate narrow or complex internal spaces. The tip of the probe offers four-way articulation (up, down, left, right) up to approximately 130°, enabling precise control when inspecting internal components.

Designed for industrial durability, the insertion tube is protected by a high-strength tungsten braid exterior, which resists abrasion, crushing, and harsh chemicals encountered in heavy-duty environments. High-intensity LED illumination provides bright and consistent lighting inside dark inspection areas, while the system supports image and video recording for documentation and reporting.

The portable system weighs approximately 2.9 kg including battery and operates for about 120 minutes on a rechargeable battery, making it suitable for field inspections in aerospace, power generation, manufacturing, and petrochemical facilities.
