The Olympus Innov‑X DC‑2000C is a portable handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer designed for rapid elemental analysis and material identification in the field. Developed by Olympus Corporation under the Innov-X Delta series, this instrument provides fast, nondestructive chemical analysis for metals, mining samples, environmental materials, and industrial components.

Olympus X DC-2000C uses a high-performance 4-watt X-ray tube and a Si-PIN diode detector to measure the elemental composition of materials within seconds. This technology allows operators to perform on-site testing without damaging samples, making the device ideal for applications such as positive material identification (PMI), alloy sorting, scrap metal recycling, and mining exploration.

The DC-2000C features advanced digital signal processing with Olympus’ proprietary Digital Pulse Processor (DPP) and a 530 MHz CPU, enabling rapid calculations and improved analytical precision. The analyzer can measure elements from titanium (Ti) and higher in alloys and mining samples, depending on the configuration and calibration.

Designed for field durability, the handheld unit includes a rugged ergonomic housing with rubberized grip, integrated heat sinks for operation in high-temperature environments, and indicator lights visible from multiple angles to enhance operational safety. The analyzer also incorporates smart sensors such as an accelerometer and barometer to optimize measurement accuracy and power management.

For data management, the DC-2000C uses a color touchscreen LCD interface and can store thousands of readings on an internal microSD card. Results can be transferred to a computer through USB or Bluetooth connectivity, while Olympus DELTA PC software enables calibration modeling, detailed analysis, and report generation.

With its lightweight design (approximately 1.5 kg without battery) and rechargeable hot-swappable lithium-ion batteries, the Innov-X DC-2000C supports long inspection sessions in industrial environments such as refineries, fabrication plants, recycling facilities, and mining sites.
