Description
The Megger EGIL is a compact, high-performance circuit breaker analyzer specifically designed for testing circuit breakers with one breaker per phase. It combines the extensive experience of the Megger TM series into a lighter, easy-to-use device, making it ideal for field service calls and workshop testing.
With three channels for measuring the switching times of the main contacts and two additional, separate timing channels for auxiliary contacts, the EGIL enables precise and reproducible analysis of switching behavior. This allows for the reliable recording and documentation of opening, closing, and reset times.
Displacement sensors or other transducers can be connected via the analog input to measure, for example, the stroke or movement of the switching mechanism.
Operation is intentionally kept simple: Switch position detection assists the user by automatically suggesting the next possible switching sequences. The coil currents are automatically recorded during testing and displayed directly on the screen or via the integrated printer, along with the other measured values. The use of pre-assembled multi-cable sets for main and auxiliary contacts significantly simplifies and speeds up on-site wiring.
The EGIL is equipped with a serial interface for convenient transfer of measurement data to a PC. The CABA Win circuit breaker analysis software allows for detailed evaluation, archiving, and report documentation of the measurement results – ideal for recurring tests and long-term condition assessment of circuit breakers.
Overall, the Megger EGIL is a reliable, robust, and practical measuring instrument for anyone who wants to perform professional circuit breaker testing – from energy suppliers and industrial plants to service and testing providers. The Megger EGIL is a reliable, robust, and practical measuring instrument for anyone who wants to perform professional circuit breaker testing – from energy suppliers and industrial plants to service and testing providers.
