The ZScanner 700 3D Laser Scanner is a professional handheld 3D laser scanning system designed for capturing accurate digital models of physical objects. Developed by Z Corporation using technology from Creaform, the scanner is widely used in reverse engineering, product design, quality inspection, and digital archiving.

ZSCANNER 700 3D features a self-positioning handheld design, allowing users to freely move around an object while scanning without requiring a mechanical arm or fixed tripod system. The device projects a laser crosshair onto the object while integrated cameras capture the surface geometry. The included ZScan software processes the data in real time and generates a polygon mesh model, which can be exported directly into CAD or 3D modeling software.

With a scanning speed of up to 18,000 measurements per second and accuracy of up to ±0.05 mm, the ZScanner 700 can capture highly detailed surface geometry quickly and efficiently. The scanner detects surface changes as small as 0.1 mm, making it suitable for precise engineering applications.

The system is lightweight and portable, weighing about 1.3 kg, allowing technicians and engineers to scan complex shapes, tight spaces, and irregular surfaces such as automotive components, sculptures, mechanical parts, and industrial equipment. The scanner supports multiple export formats including STL, OBJ, PLY, FBX, and X3D, enabling seamless integration with CAD, inspection, and 3D printing workflows.
